Exeter’s skyline will come alive this Saturday, 1 November, as Exeter Round Table hosts its annual fireworks display at Westpoint Arena, raising funds once again for Devon Air Ambulance.

Now in its 40th year, the event has become a firm favourite in the city’s calendar. This year’s display will take on a Halloween theme, with a spine-tingling fireworks show choreographed to music by Sonic, the 2022 British Firework Champions. The evening will be hosted live by Radio Exe.

The event will feature funfair rides, a range of food and drink stalls, and bars. Gates open at 5pm, with admission closing at 7.20pm and the event finishing at 9pm.

Organisers are reminding visitors that tickets must be bought in advance, as none will be available on the gate.

The fireworks have been a major fundraiser for Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) for the past 14 years, generating more than £120,000 in donations.

Staff and volunteers from the charity will be helping on the night, acting as marshals to ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable evening.

Jo-Anne Rigby, Head of Fundraising for Devon Air Ambulance, said the ongoing support from Exeter Round Table has had a lasting impact:“The generous support from Exeter Round Table’s charity firework event has made a significant difference to Devon Air Ambulance.”

“The contributions over the years have directly enabled us to continue providing lifesaving emergency care across Devon, ensuring that we can reach patients quickly, even in the most remote locations.”

“Thanks to the support we’ve received, we’ve been able to invest in essential medical equipment and maintain our fleet of helicopters and cars. The partnership with Exeter Round Table is not just about funding; it’s about saving lives together.”

Devon Air Ambulance will also support the event through promotion and on-the-ground volunteering. A spokesperson added: “The donations and ongoing partnership have been made possible by the continued success of Exeter Round Table’s annual fireworks event at Westpoint, which has been going for over 40 years, and Devon Air Ambulance have been proud to be one of the local charities benefitting from this event for the last 14 years.”

This Saturday’s fireworks promise to bring the community together for an evening of light, music, and fundraising, a night that celebrates both local tradition and lifesaving teamwork.
