Train services disrupted between Exeter St David’s and Newton Abbot after Starcross incident; delays up to 90 minutes expected

ALERT: Major delays on trains through Exeter St David’s and Newton Abbot

Exeter Today understands that an incident at Starcross Railway Station is causing major disruption on the line between Exeter St David’s and Newton Abbot.

Devon and Cornwall Police are on the scene, and emergency services are currently dealing with the incident.

Great Western Railway (GWR) has confirmed that all lines are presently blocked due to the incident.

Passengers are being warned that train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes, or revised. Disruption is expected to continue until approximately 7pm on 17 September.

GWR advises travellers to check before travelling and to allow extra time for journeys.
