Bovey Paradiso Arts has announced the town’s most ambitious cultural project
Bovey Paradiso Arts has announced it will extend its Community Share Offer until 30 September 2025, giving more time for local residents and arts supporters to invest in the town’s most ambitious cultural project.
The scheme aims to fund a state-of-the-art auditorium and community arts hub in the heart of Bovey Tracey, offering everything from live music and theatre to exhibitions, talks, and film screenings.
The project recently secured the Community Shares Standard Mark, a national accreditation recognising transparency and fairness in share offers, awarded by the Community Shares Unit. It has also received HMRC advance assurance for 30% tax relief under the government’s Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS).
David McGahey, from the Bovey Paradiso Arts Board of Directors, said:
“We’re so close to making Bovey Paradiso a reality. Extending the deadline allows us to keep building momentum and ensure everyone has the chance to get involved. Our minimum target of £175,000 is within reach – and with the community’s support, we know we’ll get there.”
Once complete, the venue will host an array of events, alongside food, drink, and social spaces — all owned and run by the community.
How to invest:
Online at www.boveyparadiso.org
By scanning QR codes on local posters and flyers
In person at Paradiso on Wednesdays and Thursdays (10am–1pm)
At the Open Days on 16 August and 20 September
Bovey Paradiso Arts is encouraging both locals and arts enthusiasts further afield to seize the opportunity to be part of a “transformational” project for the town.
