£10,000 boost for InFocus Charity

Exeter-based InFocus Charity is celebrating a generous £10,000 donation from the White Stuff Foundation, made as part of the clothing brand’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

White Stuff, a national fashion retailer, invited staff members to nominate a charity close to their hearts - and Annette Carroll, from the Exeter store, chose InFocus.

Annette said: "InFocus is an amazing charity that really empowers its young people. I’m delighted that my nomination has resulted in this incredible £10,000 gift, which I know will go towards great things."

The donation will be used to support young people with vision impairment and complex needs, helping them build independence skills and enjoy new experiences.

Jane Dye, CEO of InFocus, said: “We are truly thankful to the White Stuff Foundation for their support. This donation will support young people with vision impairment and complex needs, helping to develop their independence skills and experience different activities such as sailing or exploring new places.”

InFocus Charity is a national specialist provider based in Exeter, supporting young people with vision impairment and complex needs.

It is the UK’s only education and care organisation solely focused on the combined challenges of vision impairment and additional disabilities.

InFocus offers a specialist college for young people aged 16–25, a care home, supported living, and day services. It is also a national centre of excellence in the support of Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI)—the most common cause of vision impairment in children.
