Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene
Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal single-vehicle collision near Exeter Airport.
Emergency services were called to the westbound slip road of the A30 at Clyst Honiton at approximately 12.05pm on Sunday 3 August 2025, after reports of a serious crash involving a blue BMW 5 Series saloon.
A woman in her 30s from Plymouth, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.
The driver, a man also in his 30s and from Plymouth, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed. Police confirmed that his next of kin have been made aware.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene and launched a full investigation. The westbound slip road was closed for several hours to allow for forensic examination and vehicle recovery.
A police spokesperson thanked the public for their patience during the disruption and urged anyone who may have seen the incident or captured relevant footage to come forward.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact police via the Devon and Cornwall Police website or by calling 101, quoting log 430 of 3 August 2025.
