Families across Exeter are set to benefit from a new range of flexible and affordable child bus tickets from Stagecoach South West, launching just in time for the new school year.

From 31 August 2025, children will be able to access new ticket options including 7 Day, 28 Day, Flexi 5, and Flexi 10passes — providing unlimited daily travel from as little as £2 per day in the Exeter fare zone.

The new options are designed to give parents and carers more flexibility and better value, whether their children are commuting to school or heading out at weekends.

Peter Knight, Managing Director at Stagecoach South West, said:

“We’re committed to making travel more accessible and affordable for local families. By expanding our child ticket range, we’re giving parents and carers more flexibility, better value, and the peace of mind that comes with smart, app-based travel solutions.”

All tickets will be available exclusively via the Stagecoach app, where parents can also use a new ticket gifting feature, allowing them to buy and share tickets directly with their children.

The Flexi 5 and Flexi 10 options are particularly suited to part-time commuters or families with irregular travel patterns. These bundles offer savings of up to 30% compared to buying daily tickets.

In the Exeter zone, child travel prices now start at:

  • £3.60 for a single Day Ticket
  • £2/day using a 28 Day Ticket
  • £2.54/day using a Flexi 10 Ticket

Stagecoach has also announced that its existing “Term Rider” pass will be rebranded as the College Term Ticket, specifically for students aged 16+ in full-time education.
