Around 55 per cent of the route was off-road, with the rest taking in scenic country lanes and steep hills.

The team, Merv Rice and Chris Bonnett from Belstone, Joe Rice from Okehampton, and Gavin Punchard from Exeter, stopped overnight in Chagford and Dulverton as they tackled scorching temperatures, rugged trails and relentless climbs.

Donations have continued to come in over the past three weeks, with the total raised now exceeding £5,000.

Merv Rice said: “A big thank you to anyone who donated to this cause.”

The team would also like to thank everyone for the generous donations made to Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate Cancer UK is a national charity working to fund research, raise awareness, and support those affected by prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men.
