Drake's jet at Exeter Airport
By now, just about everyone in Exeter — and anyone who’s driven the A30 recently — knows that Drake’s private jet is parked at Exeter Airport.
The unmistakable matte blue Boeing 767, emblazoned with the “Air Drake” logo and the OVO owl on its tail, has become a local talking point.
Photos have flooded social media. People have pulled over just to get a better look. But while the novelty of spotting a global superstar’s jet in Devon has begun to settle, one question remains: what is it actually like inside?
The answer? As extravagant as you’d expect — and then some.
Unlike the sleek Gulfstreams or Bombardier jets favoured by many celebrities, Drake’s jet is a former commercial airliner, originally designed to carry over 200 passengers. Now, it carries a handful of people — in near-total luxury. The transformation is extraordinary. Gone are the rows of cramped seats and overhead bins. In their place is a vast, open-plan interior that feels more like a penthouse suite than a plane.
Step onboard and you're greeted with polished hardwood floors, suede wall panels, and cream leather club chairsarranged in spacious lounge areas. Oversized sofas and custom lighting give the aircraft a relaxed, high-end vibe — more private residence in the sky than traditional jet.
In the centre of the cabin is a six-seat conference and dining table, perfect for meetings, meals, or just hanging out mid-flight. A pair of large flat-screen TVs, built-in sound systems, and concealed bars stocked with top-shelf liquor complete the lounge setup. It’s luxury without loudness — a carefully curated space built for calm and comfort.
Head to the back, and things get even more impressive. Behind a set of curtains lies a full-sized bedroom, complete with a king-size bed, designer bedding, and soft ambient lighting. There’s even a private bathroom with a shower — a rare indulgence on any aircraft, let alone one at 40,000 feet.
There’s long been speculation that Air Drake also features a miniature recording studio, allowing the rapper to write and record tracks mid-flight. It hasn’t been confirmed publicly, but it would make sense. Drake’s lifestyle is built around constant travel and constant creativity — and this plane reflects that perfectly.
Perhaps the most important detail? Unlike many celebrity jets, Drake owns this one outright. No leasing. No branding deal. Just a $185 million jet, tailored top-to-bottom to suit his needs. In an era where luxury often comes with fine print, Air Drake is pure autonomy — a flying symbol of global reach, success, and permanence.
So yes — that giant blue jet at Exeter Airport really does belong to Drake. And while most of us will only ever see it from behind a fence or a car window, now you know what’s inside!
