The National Trust’s Killerton garden in Devon is bursting into colour this July, with its borders and terraces transformed into a stunning display of vibrant summer blooms.

Located just outside Exeter, Killerton is known for its sweeping landscapes and historic estate, but it’s the garden that’s stealing the show this season.

The main herbaceous border and terraces have become must-see highlights for visitors across Devon and the South West.

Verity McCabe, gardener at Killerton, said: “In July the main herbaceous border and the terraces are the real showstoppers here at Killerton. This time of the year the different swathes of colour and scent attract many visitors who come to enjoy the unusual and interesting plants.”

Killerton, run by the National Trust, is a perfect summer day out for families, garden lovers, and anyone looking to explore the countryside near Exeter.

The seasonal planting combines structure, scent, and bold colour to provide a spectacular visual experience.

The gardens are open daily, and visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic, enjoy a walk through the estate, and take in the sights of one of Devon’s most stunning historic landscapes.

More information on opening times, admission, and what’s on at Killerton is available at the National Trust website.
