The M5 northbound between junctions 31 and 29 has been cleared following an earlier collision involving a motorbike and a car.

The bike rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not being treated as life-threatening or changing.

Vehicles involved in the crash have been recovered and the road is now open.

However, traffic remains heavy in the area and motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and drive with caution.

Police have thanked drivers for their patience and understanding while the incident was safely managed.
