Devon police have told The Moorlander that two lanes on the M5 northbound between junctions 31 and 29 (Okehampton turn off) are currently blocked following a collision.

Emergency services are at the scene, and ambulance crews are checking those involved.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and expect delays if travelling in this direction.

This is a live feed and will be updated as more information becomes available.

11.42am: National Highways confirm: "It was a single vehicle rtc involving a motorcyclist. The minor-injury incident occurred at 10.45am on the northbound section, near the junction 31 entry slip road, and lanes 2 and 3 have been closed for emergency services to attend the scene. Vehicle recovery is en route and the carriageway will be reopened once recovery is completed."
