Man stabbed in Exeter suburb

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the leg in the Newcourt area of Exeter during the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services were called to Blakeslee Drive shortly after midnight following reports that a man had been attacked. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two suspects are currently being sought in connection with the incident. They are described as male, wearing face coverings and dark clothing, and were seen using electric scooters prior to the stabbing.

A police cordon remains in place on Blakeslee Drive as enquiries continue, and officers are appealing to the public for any information.

Police have described the incident as isolated, and say there is no wider threat to the public.
