Grassroots football teams across Exeter are being asked to register their interest in using City Council-owned pitches for the 2025/26 season.
With pitch allocations due to be made in the coming weeks, Exeter City Council is calling on local clubs to submit their requirements by the end of June to help determine demand for the limited facilities available.
Cllr Ruth Williams, Lead Councillor for City Management, said: “We’re keen to hear from all teams in the city who would like to use City Council pitches for next season.
However, we only have a limited number of pitches, at Cowick Barton playing fields, Bettysmead, Wonford playing fields, Pinhoe Station Road and Bromhams Farm.
We will do our best to allocate facilities – and we will need to consider the impact of multiple teams on the playing surface – but we may not be able to accommodate everyone.”
To ensure a fair and transparent process, the Council is asking all interested teams to email publicrealmenquiries@exeter.gov.uk with details including the number and type of teams, age groups, and preferred locations.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 30 June 2025.
