All lanes have now reopened on the M5 northbound within Junction 31 following a vehicle fire earlier this afternoon.

The incident, which halted traffic in the area near the A30 and A38 junctions, has now been cleared, and emergency services have left the scene.

There are currently no confirmed updates regarding any injuries to the driver.

While the road is fully open, drivers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys as residual delays persist on the A30 eastbound and A38 northbound approaches.

Heavy traffic is also still being reported on the A379 Bridge Road.
