Holidaymakers flying from Exeter now have more options than ever, as a second TUI Airways aircraft has landed at Exeter Airport ahead of the 2025 summer season.

The Boeing 737-800 touched down this week, doubling TUI’s summer flying programme from the regional airport. With two aircraft now based at Exeter, travellers can choose from 50 flights a week to 13 sunshine destinations — including new and extended routes to Lanzarote, Antalya, Paphos, Tenerife, Rhodes and Ibiza.

Commercial Director Chris Logan said the expansion reflected a sharp rise in demand: “We’ve seen a boom in demand for holidays from Exeter to places such as Greece and the Canary Islands and we’re excited to bolster our flying frequency to these destinations.

“From summer 25 we now have year-round flying to Lanzarote and Tenerife, meaning customers can choose to enjoy the year-long sunshine in winter or summer.”

The additions include a brand new weekly route to Ibiza, now available to book for 7- and 14-night getaways. Longer 10-night stays have also been added to popular spots such as Antalya, Heraklion and Paphos, giving travellers more flexibility on trip lengths.

Paphos remains the most popular destination from Exeter, and extra weekly flights will help support Marella Cruises’ new itineraries sailing from Limassol, including Aegean Gems, Aegean Delights and Grecian Discovery.

In total, TUI will offer more than 65,000 seats to Greece, 60,000 to the Balearics, and 40,000 to the Canaries for the summer 2025 season.

Nicola Bendall, Crew Relations Manager at TUI, said: “It’s a really exciting time for us at Exeter Airport and the news of the second aircraft has been hugely welcomed by our customers. They are delighted to see a new route to Ibiza and more choice when it comes to travelling to some of their favourite destinations from their local airport.”

Exeter Airport’s Managing Director Stephen Wiltshire added, “We’re thrilled to be welcoming a second TUI aircraft to Exeter Airport for summer 2025. This marks a major milestone in our ongoing partnership with TUI and reflects their strong confidence in the growing demand from passengers in the region.”

“We now have more destinations, more flexibility, and even greater convenience for travellers who want to start their holidays right here from Exeter Airport. It’s a real vote of confidence in Exeter as a gateway to the sun.”
