Residents in Exeter and across Devon can expect a warm and largely sunny weekend, according to the latest Met Office forecast.

Following a bright and breezy Thursday, the weather will remain settled through to Sunday, with temperatures peaking at around 22°C in Exeter and similar highs across the region.

Saturday, 17 May is set to bring long spells of sunshine with some patchy cloud. Light easterly winds and dry conditions will make it an ideal day for outdoor plans, including the final day of the Devon County Show at Westpoint Arena.

Sunday, 18 May looks to be the warmest day of the weekend, with clear skies forecast for much of the county. Daytime temperatures could reach 22°C in Exeter, with parts of South Devon seeing highs of 21°C. Light winds and high UV levels are expected.

Overnight temperatures will fall to around 9°C, but mornings should warm quickly, especially inland.

Looking ahead, dry and sunny conditions are likely to continue into the start of next week.

Motorists and visitors are advised to plan ahead for busy travel periods, particularly around popular tourist areas and local events.
