British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses after an indecent exposure incident occurred on board a train travelling from Exeter St Davids to Crediton earlier this month.

The incident happened between 6.17pm and 6.51pm on Friday 4 April. Officers say a man is believed to have exposed himself and engaged in indecent behaviour in view of other passengers.

A 22-year-old man from Exeter has since been arrested on suspicion of two counts of outraging public decency.

Detectives are now urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward.

Anyone with details that could assist the investigation is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 624 of 4 April.

Information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
