80 new homes coming to Exeter

Redhills development to deliver 80 homes with green space, play areas, and city views, launching in autumn 2025

80 new homes coming to Exeter

A new housing development in Redhills, Exeter, has officially broken ground, marking the beginning of construction on a scheme that will bring 80 new homes to the city.

Representatives from housebuilder Tilia Homes and contractor Steve Hoskin Construction gathered at the end of March to mark the milestone with a ceremonial first spade in the ground at the site, which sits in a prime elevated location overlooking Exeter.

Named City View, the development will offer a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties set among landscaped green spaces and woodland views. A dedicated play area, public open space, and connectivity to key city amenities are all planned, with the scheme designed to balance city living with rural tranquillity.

Kathryn Pennington, Regional Managing Director at Tilia Homes, said:

“Following the successful ground breaking ceremony last week, we’re thrilled to officially begin construction at City View. This milestone marks the exciting start of a thriving new community which will meet Exeter’s specific housing needs.

We believe in creating homes that not only complement the local area but provide a strong foundation for future residents.”

City View’s location offers easy access to the city centre, major travel links, and nearby schools, while also placing residents within reach of cultural attractions like the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Ludwell Valley Park.

Tilia Homes, part of the untypical Group, is also investing over £570,000 into the local area through a voluntary Unilateral Undertaking. The funds will go toward education, healthcare, footpath upgrades, and promoting sustainable transport options.

The show home and sales launch is scheduled for Autumn 2025.
