From pitch to party: Topsham RFC hosts Lineout Live

Live music, food, inflatables and community spirit set to take over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend

From pitch to party: Topsham RFC hosts Lineout Live

Topsham RFC is inviting the local community to Lineout Live, a lively new summer festival taking place on Sunday 4 May to help raise funds for their ambitious clubhouse renovation project.

The club, which has over 600 members ranging from Under-6s to Walking Rugby veterans, is aiming to transform its existing facilities into a modern, accessible and welcoming space for all. With no plans to extend the current footprint, the renovation will focus on creating a larger clubhouse to accommodate growing matchday crowds, community events and future club activity.

The bank holiday event promises something for everyone, with four live music acts performing across the day, family-friendly attractions including a bouncy castle and inflatable foot darts, face painting, a well-stocked bar and food trucks. The festival will serve as the official launch of Topsham RFC’s forthcoming crowdfunding campaign for the redevelopment.

“We’re incredibly proud of our place in the Topsham community,” said a club spokesperson. “This festival is a fun way to bring people together while raising the funds we need to make sure the club continues to thrive for future generations.”

The upgraded clubhouse will also allow the club to increase its weekday usage, generating vital income through hires while creating a much-needed social hub in the town’s green space.

Topsham RFC is a club on the rise, going from strength to strength both on and off the pitch. The Men’s 1st XV recently secured promotion with two games to spare, topping their league and sealing a historic move to the highest level the club has ever competed at.

The club proudly fields three (sometimes four!) men’s senior sides, a thriving women’s team with over 50 players, and more than 350 junior members across all age groups from U6s to U18s.

Families, friends and rugby fans are all encouraged to grab their tickets, save the date and head down to the club on 4 May for a day of celebration, community and support.
