Exeter is set for an unforgettable weekend as the Royal Air Force lands on Cathedral Green for a free two-day family event on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 April, running from 9am to 4.30pm each day.

The RAF Town Show will bring the thrill of aviation and the heart of military life to the city centre, offering hands-on experiences and entertainment for all ages.

Highlights include the chance to climb into a Typhoon cockpit, take part in adrenaline-fuelled sports challenges, and test your skills in a real-life Survival Challenge.

Visitors can also get involved in CPR and First Aid workshops, explore future careers through STEM and Youth Engagement activities, and meet serving RAF personnel for a behind-the-scenes look at life in the forces.

Live music from the RAF band will keep the atmosphere buzzing, with opportunities for attendees to try the drums themselves.

Whether you're an aviation enthusiast, curious about RAF life, or simply looking for a fun family day out, the event promises something for everyone – and no booking is required.

The event is part of the RAF’s national engagement programme, aimed at educating, inspiring and informing communities, with no pressure or obligation for attendees to sign up.
