Regional airline Blue Islands has officially launched its new Exeter to Guernsey service this month, enhancing connectivity between the South West and the Channel Islands.

With fares starting at £64.99, the new route provides a convenient and affordable option for both leisure and business travellers.

This is part of a wider expansion by Blue Islands, introducing three new air links to Exeter, East Midlands, and Norwich from Guernsey.

The airline, which operates a fleet of five ATR aircraft, aims to improve connectivity for island residents, students, tourists, and business travellers.

The Exeter to Guernsey service operates up to six times per week, offering year-round connectivity. On Thursdays and Sundays, the flights are direct, with a journey time of just 40 minutes. On other days, flights include a short 30-minute stop in Jersey, bringing the total travel time to 1 hour 35 minutes.

The new routes also maintain higher inter-island flight frequencies between Guernsey and Jersey, with three weekday flights and two weekend flights.

Blue Islands will recruit additional Guernsey-based aircrew ahead of Summer 2025 to support its expanded route network. The airline continues to operate high-frequency flights to Jersey and Southampton year-round and plays a significant role in Guernsey’s inbound visitor economy, running charter services from the Netherlands and Switzerland during the summer for its tour operator partners.

Ronnie Matheson, Chief Revenue Officer at Blue Islands, said:

“We’re delighted to launch our new Exeter to Guernsey service, providing more choice and convenience for travellers. These flights not only enhance connectivity for islanders but also open up new opportunities for visitors looking to explore the beauty of Guernsey and the Channel Islands.”

Passengers can book tickets now via the Blue Islands website.
