Exeter International Airport was evacuated yesterday morning after a plane experienced issues with its landing gear, prompting a major emergency response.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed officers were called just before 12.00pm after reports that an aircraft was "having challenges with its landing equipment."
As a precaution, the terminal was cleared while firefighters and paramedics were deployed.
A police spokesperson confirmed that emergency protocols were followed to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
A passenger at the airport told the BBC that people were allowed to re-enter the terminal at around 12.20pm, suggesting the situation was quickly brought under control.
There are no reports of injuries, and the airport has not yet released an official statement.
Flight schedules may have been affected, and further updates are expected.
