Families and craft lovers can enjoy a free morning of creativity and community at St Thomas Library on Saturday, 15 February, with a hands-on craft session and a special pop-up exhibition.
The two-hour event (10.30am - 12.30pm), hosted by LOVE Food CIC in collaboration with St Thomas Library and RAMM (Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery), offers a fun-filled way to kick off February half-term.
Attendees can make their own sweet treats – out of cardboard! Whether it’s a favourite ice cream or a decorated cupcake, visitors can get creative and take their masterpieces home.
In addition, the pop-up exhibition invites people to bring a special object from their kitchen - anything from an heirloom spoon to a sentimental mug - to be showcased on the day.
Select items could even be photographed for display at Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum as part of the upcoming "Tastes Like Home" and "FOOD: Beyond the Plate" exhibitions, running April to June 2025.
There’s also a prize draw on the day, with the chance to win café vouchers and a family day out at RAMM.
The event is free and open to all ages, with support from Arts Council England and Exeter City Council. Booking isn’t essential, but organisers appreciate sign-ups to help plan materials.
