Exeter goes green with TerraCycle

Global recycling pioneer TerraCycle has recognized the Sylvania Community Stores and Café, in Exeter, as the proud recipient of two innovative bench planters, crafted entirely from recycled materials.

These planters, now installed in the community space, stand as a testament to the power of recycling and sustainable living.

The donation was part of a TerraCycle campaign inviting users of its Zero Waste Bags to nominate deserving community groups for a chance to enhance public spaces sustainably.

TerraCycle's Zero Waste Bags offer a solution for 14 hard-to-recycle waste streams, such as crisp wrappers, medicine blister packs, and office supplies.

Julien Tremblin, General Manager of TerraCycle Europe, highlighted the importance of this initiative, "We are excited to give back to our customers, who are the heart and soul of TerraCycle, by showcasing how waste can be transformed into practical, community-enhancing items. These bench planters symbolize not only the hard work of the Sylvania Community Stores and Café but also the potential of recycled materials to create a sustainable future."
