Emergency teams were on alert tonight (November 26) as torrential rain fell across Devon.

The ground was already heavily sodden due to Storm Bert and river levels were expected to rise with the risk of flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers.

Exeter City played their home game against Birmingham City last night in monsoon conditions, eventually losing 2-0.

River levels will remain high into Wednesday.

Motorists and pedestrians were warned to take care near areas of concern and avoid walking or driving through floodwater.
