Princesshay will be joined by a rotating programme of over 25 local independent traders as part of the Christmashay Village, with 17 Christmas cabins located in Princesshay Square, Bedford Street, Eastgate and the main mall positioned around their centre piece Christmas tree.

Local garden centre, Bernvaille Nurseries have kindly supplied all the Christmas cabin and bar decorations and lights this year.

To celebrate the opening of Princesshay’s Christmashay Village and the beginning of Thursday late night shopping, Worldbeaters SPARK! the spectacular street theatre act will be returning to Princesshay on the 28th of November, with performances at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm.

The village will also host The Christmashay Bar, in partnership with Lloyd’s Lounge, in Princesshay Square. The outdoor bar will be serving up warm mulled drinks and freshly fired pizzas. There will also be a special Christmas cocktail dedicated to Princesshay’s Charity of the Year, Exeter Leukaemia Fund called Hunni Elf Spritz with £1 of every sale being donated to the charity.

Michelle Menezes, Princesshay Centre Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be expanding our Christmas Market offering for 2024, with more local traders, complimented by a Christmas Bar run by one of our longstanding restaurateurs, Lloyds Lounge, providing a great addition for people visiting our 69 shops and restaurants. Christmas is always our favourite time of year, and we love to help customers, staff and visitors to get into the festive spirt.”

Princesshay will also welcome Santa and his elf who will be in his gold sleigh every Sunday in December for families to meet him from 10:30am – 4:30pm. Princesshay’s Charity of the Year, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, will be accepting donations from families in the queue.
