Participants in the Exeter City Community Trust Half Marathon
Hundreds of runners braved the weather to take part in the Exeter City Community Trust Half Marathon.
A total of 900 people signed up for the sell-out event, which took place on Saturday and Sunday mornings, setting off from the Piazza on Exeter Quay and heading out along paths beside the River Exe.
Tom Gange was the male winner and Alison Thorn was the first female home on Saturday. On Sunday the male winner was Gwylym Gibson and the female winner was Rachel Sanders.
Amongst the participants were a group from the Exeter City Football Club management team, who were running to raise funds for six local charities.
Assistant manager Kev Nicholson, head of performance and wellbeing Jon Pitts, sports scientist Tom Yates, first team sports therapist Sam Alfieri and U9-U10 Cell Lead Coach (PPTCS) Yemi Odubade, took part in the event to raise money for the Exeter City Community Fund.
The fund supports six local charities, who are Exeter City Community Trust, Exeter Community Initiatives, Alright Mate? CiC, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, Devon Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Services and Refugee Support Devon.
