Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a van in Willand.

Emergency services were called to Uffculme Road at around 8.30am on Thursday January 18.

The collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a bicycle being ridden by a woman aged in her 60s. The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.

Officers are asking anyone with any relevant information or dashcam footage to come forward.

They are particularly appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the cyclist before the collision.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police here or by calling 101 quoting log 154 of 18/01/24.
