Newton Abbot Racecourse is set to launch its exciting summer jump racing season during the Easter holidays with a fantastic Family Day on Thursday, April 10.

This event is perfect for families looking for a fun-filled day out, with gates opening at noon and the first race starting at 2:10pm. There will be plenty of entertainment for children, including a face painter, a hook-a-duck stall and bouncy castles. As an extra treat, the first 500 visitors will receive a small Crème Egg to start their day with a little bit of chocolatey delight.

This fixture is part of the renowned South West Swing, a thrilling racing circuit that brings together all your favourite local racecourses. Taunton, Newton Abbot, Exeter, and Wincanton offer racegoers an unparalleled experience of back-to-back fixtures, making it a haven for horse racing enthusiasts.

Our Family Day will also feature a £15,000 Handicap Chase sponsored by Weatherbys adding even more excitement to an already action-packed card.

Following closely after Family Day is our Easter Saturday meeting on April 19, another must-attend event for racing fans. The gates open at noon, and early visitors who arrive between noon and 1pm will be treated to a complimentary pint of Tribute sponsored by St Austell Brewery, a delightful way to start the day. The first race kicks off at 2pm, featuring a busy racecard filled with seven competitive races. The event will include a mix of hurdles and chases, with a highlight being the prestigious £20,000 Handicap Steeple Chase, promising plenty of thrilling action on the track.

To round off an exhilarating day of racing, we are delighted to present live music from the dynamic duo Sam and Strings. Taking place in our Paddock Suite, their performance is open to all racegoers, whether you hold a Paddock or Course ticket. Instead of rushing off after the last race, why not relax, enjoy the music, and treat yourself to a refreshing drink and a delicious pork bap? This will be the perfect way to end your day at the races.

For those looking to elevate their experience, we offer a range of premium hospitality options to make your visit truly special. Why not consider hiring a Private Box or indulging in a relaxing lunch at one of our beautiful restaurants? Our award-winning chefs, Ben Kingdon and Gavin Castle, have curated a menu that caters to all tastes and dietary requirements, ensuring a delightful dining experience for all.
