Police appeal after serious collision near Haldon Hill

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious two-vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A380 near Haldon Hill in Devon.

It was reported at 5:20pm on Thursday, September 19, that a collision had occurred involving a blue Peugeot car and a black and red motorcycle.

As a result of the collision, a 65-year-old male motorcycle rider from Newton Abbot sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital in Exeter.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Police have arrested a local man in his 50s on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and other offences.

They have released him on bail.
