A chocolate café and chain that offers a curated menu to suit every taste and mood opened its doors in Exeter on Friday, September 13.
The chocolatier has taken over the former Trailfinders store at 63 High Street in front of the cathedral, making it the 21st store to open in the UK.
Knoops, which specialises in luxury chocolate drinks, encourages its customers to experiment with different percentages of chocolates and flavours in a process they call Knoopology.
Knoops offers over 20 different chocolate percentages, ranging from 28 per cent white to 100 per cent extra dark.
It also offers nine different daily and plant-based milks, along with over 20 extras such as sea salt, orange zest, chilli, and cinnamon.
Drinks can be served as a smooth, hot chocolate—perfect for the autumn months—or as a rich, indulgent milkshake.
Knoops is currently in the process of an ambitious expansion plan, with recent store openings including Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Chester, Guildford, and Bath.
Addressing the latest openings, CEO William Gordon-Harris said: “The opening in Exeter and of our 21st store is a huge milestone for KNOOPS as we seek to spread our first 40 or so stores across the UK so we can speak as THE national brand as quickly as possible—and own the category we have created.”
Founder of the brand, Jens Knoop, added: “There's something magical about enjoying a cup of hot chocolate in a cosy café in colder weather, so we’re excited to be opening our Exeter store just as the weather begins to turn. Whether you love a mountain of cream and marshmallows atop your hot chocolate or prefer it spiced with festive flavours, you’ll find it in our new store.”
In preparation for your visit, you can take the quiz on their website to discover your perfect Knoops percentage.
