Dick and Angel Strawbridge, the couple best known for their role in the hit Channel 4 TV series Escape to the Chateau, are bringing their 2024 theatre tour to Exeter.
Millions of viewers have watched the family’s creative adventures for over nine years and continue to do so in their newest series called Secret France.
The couple have toured the UK twice before with their sell-out Dare To Do It show, which took to theatres in 2020 and 2022.
Forever Home is the pair’s biggest tour yet, with 33 dates starting on October 6 in Angel’s hometown of Southend on Sea and ending on November 17 in Brighton.
Their performance in Exeter’s Great Hall will take place in the final week, on Monday, November 11.
They are trialling something both daring and different in this tour and will be turning towards their audiences for a new and highly interactive show.
During an evening of untold stories and laughs, contestants from each theatre will be given the opportunity to win a place on stage to compete against one another for the title of their town’s Escape to the Chateau—Jack of All Trades.
Guests are being encouraged to expect anything and everything, as nothing is out of bounds and it's guaranteed to get messy.
Alongside the triumphant accolade, contestants can win prizes and play a part in the launch of Dick and Angel’s next big project, unsurprisingly titled Escape to the Chateau—Jack of All Trades.
Dick & Angel said: “Touring with our family has been such a joy, and we can’t wait to return to the UK to share our adventures, challenges, and the successes of building and living our Chateau dream. Only so much of our story can be told on the telly, and as life at the Chateau continues to evolve, we will share what it takes to build a forever home. This year, there’s even more fun to have as we kick-start our newest project searching for the UK’s ultimate Jack of All Trades! We can’t wait!”
Renowned for their boundless creativity and infectious passion for life, Dick and Angel will explore why they dared to move into a derelict chateau with 45 rooms, a moat, orangery, 12 acres, and seven outbuildings, but no electricity, water, or sewage.
They will take the audience behind the scenes of their forever home and show what it takes to live your dreams and become part of their story.
The show begins at 7:30pm, and tickets are now on sale with a starting price of £37.
