Royal Devon is inviting the public to a demonstration about how the NHS uses robots during surgery.
The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) has extended an invitation to local people to attend a public event about the NHS’s latest advancements.
The talk will take place from 12:30pm to 4:00pm on Tuesday, October 1, and will be led by clinical experts from the Trust.
Everyone is welcome to attend and learn how the Trust is using robotic technology to perform surgeries and enhance patient care.
The Trust now operates three robots at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and one at the North Devon District Hospital.
Following the talk, the Annual Members’ Meeting will be held, during which the Board of Directors will provide an update on the Trust’s performance over the past financial year, outline their plans for the coming year, and answer questions from the public.
They will also present the trust’s annual report and accounts for 2023/24.
The event will be held in the Lecture Theatre of the RILD Building at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) and online via Microsoft Teams.
Places are limited, so people are being encouraged to book in advance.
The event is free and open to all, and a light lunch will be on offer.
For details on how to submit a formal motion or submit a question for the Board of Directors to answer during the Annual Members’ Meeting, you can visit the Public Meetings and Minutes page on the Trust website.
