Tiverton and Budleigh Salterton are bidding farewell to the beloved fashion retailer, Snob.
The boutique has been a cherished shopping destination for years, offering locals a chance to shop unique and stylish clothing and accessories.
Each piece was carefully selected by the owner, Emma, whose fashionable eye, passion for the local community, and commitment to making people look and feel fabulous shone through every collection.
Snob has been hit by the rising bills, economic pressures, increased parking rates, and the growing monopoly of online giants—challenges that many independent retailers are currently facing.
Although Emma has made the difficult decision to close her physical stores, fans of the boutique can still enjoy her curated fashion collection from the comfort of their homes, as it will remain available for purchase online.
Her website, which has built a loyal following already, will now serve as the primary shopping destination for I Love Snob.
Whether you're looking for an elegant dress for a special occasion, a gift, an accessory, or something more casual for everyday wear, the boutique's essence continues through its online store.
As Emma closes this chapter of her business, she’s stepping into an exciting new phase of her personal life.
She recently became a beauty guide for Limelife products, which is a collaboration between Elemis and L’occitane.
She now regularly updates her growing digital community with new products, as well as offering useful skin care and makeup tips and tricks.
She has also settled into a new home and has a wedding on the horizon later this year, approaching the future with her characteristic optimism.
Emma said: “Fashion and community have always been at the heart of what I do.
“While I’ll miss the daily interactions with customers in the shops, I’m thrilled to continue sharing my love for fashion through our online platform and social media channels; this is the new normal, and if it's good enough for the young Tik Tokers, it’s good enough for me!”
Emma’s story is a testament to the resilience and adaptability of small business owners, adjusting to the changing retail landscape.
I Love Snob’s transition to a fully online model is a nod to its past while embracing the future.
A long-term client of the business said: “While we bid farewell to the charming shops in Tiverton and Budleigh Salterton, we can take comfort in knowing that I Love Snob remains a part of our lives, ready to dress us for whatever comes next.”
