South West Water’s new customer van is touring the region, wrapped in artwork celebrating iconic landmarks across Devon and Cornwall.

The artwork was designed by Devon-based artist Anna Fitzgerald, who is known for her expressive paintings.

Her design captures the special essence of the West country, featuring images of Powderham Castle and Plymouth Hoe to Lands’ End, as well as cider orchards and wartime dugouts.

Anna worked closely with South West Water to create the van’s design.

She said: “I’m a passionate community artist and love collaborating with businesses who want to engage the public in new and imaginative ways.

“The South West region has such a unique spirit, which is why working with South West Water on this great opportunity was a truly fun and explorative process for us all.”

The van, which will be visiting various locations, will give people the opportunity to speak with South West Water’s experts, ask questions, and discover more about plans for local improvements.

South West Water is also inviting customers to propose future visiting locations as the company looks to continue its programme of community engagement sessions across the region.

Dani Twelvetree, Head of Customer Communication and Engagement at South West Water, said: “We are very excited to introduce our customer van, which gives us a chance to meet with our customers and for our team of passionate colleagues to connect with people face to face, understand their priorities, and learn more about what matters most to them.

“Since December, we’ve met with around 650 customers at 15 community roadshows, from the coasts of Cornwall to the heart of Devon. The approach is about doing more than ever to show our customers just how much we care about the communities in which they live and work."
