Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is opening the doors to a brand new charity shop in Crediton at the end of August.
Located in the heart of Crediton High Street, this new charity shop was previously occupied by the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF).
DAA has made a sustainable effort to furnish the new store with repurposed and reused materials left by the former tenant, reflecting a charity shop’s purpose of giving items a new lease of life.
Local people and visitors will be welcomed by the DAA team and their volunteers to browse quality preloved garments, accessories, books, and much more thanks to the generosity of their donors.
Pete Valance, Head of Business Development at Devon Air Ambulance, said: “We are very excited to announce the opening of our new Crediton shop, and it marks an exciting milestone not only for us but for the local community in Crediton too, where we will now have a presence directly on the high street. This shop will support the circular economy, allowing supporters to reuse someone’s no longer wanted possessions while raising money for their local Air Ambulance charity.
“Our team is looking forward to being immersed in the heart of the local community, welcoming valuable donations that help to keep our crews responding to communities across the county and enabling us to continue to raise vital funds. We hope local people will join us to celebrate very soon!”
Funds raised will go towards keeping Devon’s two air ambulances flying and their fleet of blue-light critical care cars responding swiftly by road.
