End of year message from Exeter Chamber CEO Richard Marsh

Exeter Chamber CEO Richard Marsh

What a year 2023 has been!

Whilst it has been a very challenging year for business, what has shone through has been the strength of support and community spirit shown by our members, partners and sponsors.

I’d like to thank you all for your continued support. Thank you for coming along to our events, sharing your news, and being a part of Exeter’s vibrant business community.

Over the past year Exeter Chamber has launched The Exeter Impact Awards, celebrating those in the greater Exeter area making a positive, meaningful and evidenced impact in driving business success, and has celebrated the start of summer with the return of the Exeter Business Summer Bash in June, and we’ve held over 50 events over the year, a great achievement for such a small team.

We’re looking forward next year, to launching our Next Gen initiative focusing on young people in the early years of their careers looking to build their own networks, and our second Impact Awards are scheduled for April, look out for details early in the New Year.

As the year draws to a close, I’d also like to pause to make sure we appreciate all the privileges we are lucky enough to enjoy and extend our thoughts to those at home and abroad who are struggling with unimaginable challenges this Christmas.

Finally, may I say that it continues to be an immense honour to serve as CEO of Exeter Chamber and I’d like to thank all our Board Directors and the brilliant Chamber team for their support, and commitment to driving business success in Exeter.

Warm wishes to all this festive season and here’s to a very bright and prosperous 2024.
