The Plymouth Gladiators will be riding again next season
Exeter speedway fans are breathing a sigh of relief after Plymouth Gladiators officially confirmed their return to the track for the 2024 season.
They have confirmed they will be competing in the Championship following the British Speedway Promoters' Association's (BSPA) Annual General Meeting in Tenerife.
A series of changes aimed at invigorating and reshaping British speedway were also unveiled at the AGM.
Among the announcements, the one that undoubtedly sent waves of excitement through the Gladiators' faithful was the confirmation that their team would once again rev up their engines next summer at the Plymouth Coliseum.
Plymouth will join eight other teams in the Championship for the upcoming season. The competition promises to be fierce as the Gladiators go head-to-head with Berwick Bandits, Edinburgh Monarchs, Glasgow Tigers, Oxford Cheetahs, Poole Pirates, Redcar Bears, Scunthorpe Scorpions, and the returning Workington Comets, making a comeback for the first time since 2018, buoyed by the success of their National Development League side.
