Exeter protesters call for Gaza ceasefire

The peaceful protest calling for a ceasefire in Gaza

Another peaceful protest took place in Exeter over the weekend, calling for a ceasefire in the conflict in Gaza.

Around 150 people staged a  ‘Know Their Names’ event holding up pictures of children who have died in the fighting. The names of the young victims were also read out.

The protest was staged by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign Exeter - EPSC in Bedford Square.

A post on the group's Facebook post read: "It was very emotional, in one hour we read the names of the babies to three-year-olds who have lost their lives in six weeks.

"Our eyes are on Gaza and rightly so, but in many places in the Westbank the situation is very dangerous. One example is in Hebron. Exeter PSC has historical links with Hebron, some of us have visited, lived and worked there."
