Co Bikes set to expand

November 18 2019 - A pioneering electric bicycles scheme was set to expand – with new stations in Exeter and Cranbrook due to open. 

Co-bikes managing director Mark Hodgson told city traffic chiefs that sites in Heavitree, Pinhoe and the new East Devon town were on their way.

The not-for-profit social enterprise already had facilities in Exeter at County Hall, the Civic Centre, St David’s, Central and Digby and Sowton railway stations, and the University of Exeter’s Streatham and St Luke’s campuses.

Mr Hodgson said: "We have already taken 150 vehicles off the road because of this but eventually we want hundreds of bikes in Exeter."

Sadly Co Bikes and, a subsequent addition the the service, Co Cars went into administration earlier this year.
