November 10, 2017 - Lidl officially started operations from its new regional distribution centre, which cost the grocer £55 million to build.
The 538,195sq ft warehouse in Exeter Gateway business park created around 500 jobs and services more than 50 stores.
“The South West is an important region for Lidl and it’s an area where we’ve experienced particularly strong growth,” Lidl UK regional director Mark Henry said at the time.
The Exeter warehouse was Lidl’s 12th regional distribution centre in the country.
