Mouth-watering cup clash in prospect

Exeter City fans will relish tonight's Carabao Cup clash

Exeter City's attentions turn to the Carabao Cup tonight (October 31) when the Grecians face Championship side Middlesbrough in a 7:45pm kick-off.

The SOLD OUT clash under the lights at St James Park will be the first meeting between the two sides, and see the Grecians look to make history. City have matched their furthest run in the competition which was back in 1989 where they lost 5-2 in a fourth round replay against Sunderland after originally holding them to a 2-2 draw.

City will be looking to build on Saturday's 1-1 draw with Lincoln City which put the end to a run of six straight league defeats as they face a Boro side that had been in fantastic form before a run of six straight wins was halted by Stoke City on Saturday.
