Grecians back Poppy Appeal

Grecians back Poppy Appeal

Exeter City will be doing its bit to help swell this year's Poppy Appeal funds with a Remembrance ceremony on Saturday (October 28).

The club will be supported with the presence of the Deputy Lieutenant, the Lord Mayor and local President for the Royal British Legion.

Regardless of the weather, the traditional St James Park wreath laying will take place shortly before kick-off against Lincoln City at 3pm.

At that time the bars and turnstiles will fall silent along with the supporters, players and officials. The message is to not leave stadium access too late. If fans arrive at the turnstiles after 2:50pm they will be temporarily closed meaning there is a risk of missing the start of the match.

To help the Poppy Appeal, collection boxes will be in the shop, at the bars and on the Academy stall. This year the fully paper poppies are 100% recyclable.

Locally Sea Scouts will also be near turnstiles and entrances with poppies and collecting boxes.
