Families enjoy early Halloween treat

Halloween came early at Shillingford Organics near Exeter when dozens of families enjoyed a pumpkin picking party.

Fans of the giant fruit (yes, it's not actually a vegetable) helped themselves to this year's bumper harvest.

They were then taken on a tractor ride where they were able to gather more produce including carrots and beetroot.

The farm is located on the outskirts of Exeter, near Shillingford Abbot, and the owners pay their suppliers at least 50 percent of the retail value of any products they buy in, and when dealing with wholesalers, they make sure they pay fair prices to their growers.
