October 5, 2021 - The South West of England experienced heavy rainfall that led to widespread flooding across parts of Devon.
The Met Office had issued a yellow weather warning for Devon, Cornwall, and Dorset, which came into effect the previous evening, leaving residents and authorities on high alert.
The warning remained in place until the early hours of Tuesday morning, and its effects were felt by those on the roads and in their homes.
In Exeter, the situation became particularly chaotic as Longbrook Street turned into a waterlogged obstacle course, with cars struggling through the floodwaters before the police eventually closed off the area.
