MBE for Julie!

Well known businesswoman Julie Hawker this week received an MBE for Services to the Economy.

It was presented to her by the Princess Royal at Windsor Castle.

Julie is the Joint CEO at the SW's leading digital business Cosmic, based in Honiton.

She said: "I had the thrill of being accompanied by my close family and they all thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take in the wonderful castle and its history and art. There was a real essence of celebration at the event, and it was also lovely to meet others getting their honours and I felt very humbled by their achievements.

"The presentation of the medal took place in the Grand Reception Hall which is so grand!

"In receiving the medal which recognises my own achievements, I truly do want to share this success with the whole team at Cosmic (past-and-present), as well as through my involvement in the wider South West economy and other organisations which I continue to support. 
 
"Receiving the MBE is certainly a highlight in my career, and it is a strong reflection of the success of Cosmic and its impact over many years. It is very important to me that my many colleagues and associates reflect on that success and take recognition for the part they have played in supporting and inspiring me."
