Major employers take part in jobs fair

September 27, 2022 - Many of Exeter’s best known employers were taking part in the city’s largest jobs fair.

Staged at the Corn Exchange, the event was organised by Exeter City Council and Exeter Jobcentre Plus.

More than 40 employers and organisations took part, including:

Royal Devon University Hospital, Courtyard by Marriott, McDonald’s, Crealy Theme Park and Resort, University of Exeter, Lidl, Exeter City Council, Stagecoach, Devon County Council, BT, Next, and IKEA.

Cllr Duncan Wood, who held responsibility for Exeter’s Skills Agenda at the time, said: “We are pleased to once again be running a Jobs Fair in conjunction with the Job Centre to support their customers, and the wider public to explore the jobs that are currently on offer across Exeter and the wider area.

“It’s fantastic to be able to welcome back employers such as IKEA, BT, the NHS and many more, as well as some employers that haven’t attended before such as Jurassic Fibre and NEXT. There really will be plenty of opportunities for everyone.”
