Investment described as a key part of post-covid recovery

St Sidwells Point in Exeter

February 19, 2021 - Exeter City Council’s major investment in creating a new leisure centre and bus station in the city centre was described as a key part of the city’s economic recovery from Covid-19.

Council Leader Phil Bialyk said funding St Sidwell’s Point and the new Exeter Bus Station was the biggest public sector investment in the city centre in a generation.

He said St Sidwell’s Point would bring large numbers of people into the city centre when it opened and would kick start wider regeneration plans for the area.
