Okehampton-based Moorland Fuels has taken a major step towards net zero after being approved as a member of the prestigious Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme (RFAS).
The scheme, run by the Zemo Partnership, verifies the renewable fuel supply chain and provides customers with independently audited Greenhouse Gas (GHG) data – giving them a crucial advantage when tendering for contracts and working towards carbon reduction targets.
As one of the South West’s leading suppliers of Renewable Diesel (HVO), Moorland Fuels is now better positioned than ever to help businesses in Devon and Cornwall transition to more sustainable energy sources.
“There is a clear and urgent need to address climate change,” said Matthew Crockett, Managing Director of Moorland Fuels. “Joining the Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme is a natural step on our pathway to becoming a net zero company, providing cleaner, greener fuel solutions for customers across Devon and Cornwall.
“Through our RFAS membership, customers can be assured that our renewable diesel supply chain undergoes the most rigorous of checks – examining everything from feedstock cultivation and production through to distribution.”
RFAS membership also strengthens the company’s alignment with the Zemo Partnership, which promotes innovation and collaboration to support the UK’s low-carbon transport goals.
Crockett adds, “In keeping with our ‘What matters to you, matters to us’ mantra, we invite everyone to join us in making meaningful strides toward a greener future.”
