Exeter Science Park seeks new chair

Exeter Science Park is searching for an inspirational leader to take on the role of chair of its board, guiding the organisation through its next phase of strategic growth and innovation.

With a thriving community of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medical (STEMM) companies, Exeter Science Park plays a crucial role in fostering innovation, creating high-value jobs, and driving economic prosperity in the region.

Dr Sally Basker, Chief Executive of Exeter Science Park, expressed gratitude to outgoing chair Nick Ames, who has led the board since 2020. “Nick will be stepping down later this year, and we are now looking for our next chair as we develop the park further, leading to high-value jobs, enhanced productivity, and economic growth.”

Now entering its next stage of development, the Science Park seeks a chair who will work alongside the board and CEO to drive forward its vision.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of science, technology, innovation, and finance, with the ability to foster collaboration between businesses, academic institutions, and key stakeholders.

“This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the growth of one of the region’s most dynamic innovation hubs,” Sally added. “The successful candidate will play a crucial role in steering the Science Park towards even greater success, supporting the next generation of pioneering businesses.”

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and cover letter by Monday, 24 February 2025.
